Deputy Sheriff Tobin Bolter succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained at about 9:00 pm the previous night while making a traffic stop near the intersection of W Overland Road and S Raymond Street in Boise.

He had just exited his patrol car  and was approaching the vehicle he stopped when the suspect opened fire on him before fleeing. A witness to the shooting called 911 and performed CPR on Deputy Bolter before medics arrived and transported him to a local hospital.

The subject was located near a home on S Jackson Street a short time later. He was shot and killed by Boise police officers after opening fire on them as they attempted to take him into custody. It was later determined that the man was wanted.

Deputy Bolter succumbed to his wounds at about 10:00am the following morning.

Deputy bolter had only served with the Ada county Sheriff's Office for four months. He had a total of seven years with the Meridian Police Department and the Pleasant Hill Police Department in California.

He is gone but never forgotten.

Liberty Call Distillery in San Diego, California, creates this commemorative bottle. The company is marine-owned and a friend to all first responders. The bottle is superior to other engravings. It is sandblasted, not just etched, and pays true honor to every fallen first responder it is created for.

The whiskey is first aged in new 53-gallon, medium-charred American oak barrels for up to 8 years. Then, it is rested in-barrel with Chilean Amburana oak staves.  It creates a uniquely sweet, yet spicy bourbon whiskey. It has hints of gingerbread and fresh vanilla on the nose. There is a pronounced sweetness on the palate. It shows touches of oak, spice cake, nutmeg, and light brown sugar.

The bottles can be shipped across the U.S., except Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Michigan, Mississippi, and Utah.

Beautiful Tribute to our Fallen Brother

This Whiskey bottle is absolutely stunning!
The ordering process was smooth and easy - and the customer service follow up was beyond exceptional. Their customer service helped me reroute the order after a mix up in shipping and was great in providing quality communication and service. The bottle itself came packaged safely and I could tell had been crafted with the same love and respect we all have for our fallen deputy here in Boise. Thank you for creating such a beautiful product that will stand proudly as a reminder of the sacrifice men and women across our nation make to keep us safe.
